That all kids of school age in Igbere stay in school and are able to attain their developmental potentials.

Mission:

To offer financial assistance to needy but promising children of Igbere origin studying in Igbere and do so for each qualified candidate for as long as the need exists.

About Us

The Kwande initiative is a non-profit organization initiated in 2018 by Professor Ogwo E. Ogwo, Engr Emmanuel Ukandu and Engr. Ndukwe Uche and has since been joined by over 60 Igbere sons and daughters. From 2018 till date, Kwande has awarded over 60 scholarships to kids schooling in Igbere community.

Membership Eligibility

People of Igbere origin, of all age brackets, resident anywhere in the world, who subscribe to the vision stated here and who commit in writing, to contributing at least, ₦2,000 (Two thousand Naira) monthly. That translates to an annual contribution of ₦24,000 (Twenty-four thousand Naira) annually for life, towards the achievement of the mission stated here. Individual members may contribute more, up to a maximum of ₦150,000 (One hundred and fifty thousand Naira) a year. Beneficiaries of this scheme will be automatically eligible for membership after they would have become income earners.
